I'm think it's a monument. And grave of young pilot. I think people must save that place and leave it. 
But in this situation warplane and pilot must be evac. Because if people don't do it - it do it black archeologist which hunting on the WW2 relic every day. They do not care about the pilot and the grave. They need this "iron". These relics are selling well.
