Wasteland 2 logo in YELLO edition

Long time ago when i was young i saw on the black market the VHS cassete with animations film (yes... i been very progressive child and know what hidden under the term "black market" from an early age. If my ma & pa know about it - they probably punish me... i think so... but is not happen).


VHS cassete have a name "Space Adventure Cobra" 1982. Of course i buy it. One more time after that learned how important music. When the Fallout was released with Mark Morgan music. Then I knew nothing about the Fallout.

In the "Space Adventure Cobra" i first heard the unique music tracks by YELLO - "Night Train" & "Do it". Perfect animation film, beautiful music... it's blow my head. 
In USSR people knew little about the countries abroad, little know about the work of artists, musicians and writers. It was a strange time. All these pieces of other people's worlds can be bought only on the black markets. It was real treasure and big problem for owners of it's culture treasures. I remember a time when people got in prison for having sold these pieces of another life.

Wasteland 2 - preview new poster!

I think i'm formed the little tradition - before main painting i I publish the vignettes. I'm not going to break tradition. Little cards with the Wasteland 2 logo.

Big poster is coming. How big? 6000х3000px where each pixel - the real post-nuclear dream. As always - absolutely free. And one more - some people ask me to place on the picture slogans, logos and funny signs on the good memory. I made it.

Wasteland 2, Randy Warren and small plan

Yesterday talk with (Randy Warren). He told that my english language is very funny. But added that everything is clear. I'm glad. You ask me why? I answer - people in other countries understand me. I think it's a great treasure. 

About Randy. I prepare to him little surprise. Exclusive painting. It's a take lot of my time but i don't care about it. Randy is a best supporter. I feeling his invisible support all Kickstarter-campaign. 

About current time. I paint and work but not for Wasteland 2. I take some comissions from the different developers. They find me after my painting for Wasteland 2. But... do not think please what i'm do it fan-art for advertise. 

I already speaking about it earlier. So... i have no news from Brian Fargo and i'm continue my current work with different customers. If i spotted him on my horizont and he give to me a work - i promise to you - i'm return to my post-nuclear art.

What's next?

• I still happy that Brian Fargo reach the funds on the Wasteland 2

• I do art for Randy Warren
• I do work for reach the cash on my live
• I do different post-nuclear paints as always.

It's a small plan, have no genious ideas... but...

I heard Brian Fargo want make a game realistic and serious. It's not a serious device. Snowmobile, with a retro-elements, and nuclear-powered... where seriousness?

Night discuss about Wasteland 2 in my head

Last night a have a little discussion with... myself. I often speak with myself like a millions different people on the Earth. In head of course. I do not want that someone thinks about me - "it's a crazy man - he speak with myself". Dialog been short.


- Please, i wont stop. I want paint more!
- Stop. Kickstarter Wasteland capmaign is over.
- So what?
- You must return to real live. Jump back from the sky on the cruel world.
- I do not want do it.
- Go back pal, if you do not want stay beggar.
- Why beggar?
- Every day when you paint - you lose contracts, deals, and money.
- I hate money!
- Your wife do not think so.
- Oh... wife. A forget about it. I think... i'm in wasteland!
- Stop boring me crazy madman, go back to the real world.
- I want... but i can't.
- Why?!
- Now i feel that i'm on right place. All that i do in that life - mistake. When i start paint for Wasteland 2 - i'm opened. Like a chest with treasures. I need to give their to people.
- Someone except for the two of us know about that?

Wasteland 2 fan art - Viggo and Robots

Today Brian Fargo in FB says:
"I see the post nuclear movie "The Divide" is out on Vudu. Any recommendations?"


Many people to advice a lot of good movies on the post-apocaliptic themes. I remember "The Road". Very scared movie for me. But also i remember Viggo Mortensen in that film. I think... how would it look if Viggo starred in post-nuclear ranger movie.

Not about Wasteland 2 - 2

Wasteland 2 funding company is over. And i feel something like hangover. I feel hole in my chest. I do not want return to real life. I want paint again and again. 

Than more i paint - so more ideas and images i put into the "shelf". Lot of environments, technics and people. I have not had time to make a sketch of game, game interface and etc.

F**k. Why i small indie-developer?

Why I can not do what i want and spit on the money? 

Question on the million dollar.

Lot of people ask me - what you plan do now?

I want to answer - i have no idea (love this phrase from different movies) but i can't. Because i know about my directions and plans on the future.

I do not the good Samaritan, who will laud and pray on the Wasteland 2 on the each street. I'm a painter. Designer. Multy-functional specialist. CEO in my firm. And i need to go back for the my real work. My family need me. 

It's month would be crazy. Kickstarter campaign, Brian Fargo, Chris Avellone, Wasteland 2 - many important things happened. I think - game history is changed.

Tim Shafer and Brian Fargo it's two points between this points gamers draw the line. Line of the future. Line of the future new age game publishing. And... it's a great. Honestly. We back into the wave of times and o-o-ops - old legends has return.

These words don't answer on the main question of this topic. Okey. Try to say something more informative. I done all I could. Show part of my skills. I did a vision. I did a funny and unfunny pictures. I really want work on Wasteland 2, but i have no news about it from Brian Fargo.

What do you do on my place? I'm a family man, father of two childs, only breadwinner in family. I need earn the money. Wasteland 2 company is a pretty madness, case what i want do it in future... but future is not comming, i'm in present time. In present time i need do casual & flash games, work with the bored customers. It's a bored. But it's real life.

I want made original games but i have no funds on that. Kickstarter it's a good way for indie-developers and for old legends how we see. But not for people without name. Like me.

Last hours of Wasteland 2 Kickstarter company

I have only 23 hours to complete last art. I think - i do it. In last hours Kickstarter-company. When inXile, Obsidian and their friends be celebrate win.

Things about work...

When you work several months without rest edge between real life and life in your mind erased. It is worth great effort to understand where real life and where your dream. It is dangerous. Rest people. Required. Rest and do not forget about holidays.


Me - forget. It's a good advice for other people. Advices always give to different people. But man who give advice rarely does it himself.


That is why each psychologist must have own psychologist.

"Breath of Wasteland' - the new Wasteland 2 fan art

I think it's a good practice for me (i'm about my limited knowledge of english). I decided to try make english version of my blog, beacuse many people from other countries write to me, ask questions about my artwork & etc.

In next few time i have a plan to polish "Breath of wastelands" and putting into the net prints. Apart from a present artwork i do the same artwork in different design solutions, plus new facebook covers, for those people who need it.
